My Bead Soup from Cynthia Tucker from Sea of Glass |

The creative results.............
Ocean View |
The ocean colors of Cynthia's Lampwork Beads are breathtaking. She knew I have a love affaire with the ocean and beach. The turquoise shell-shaped beads add to this perfect ocean theme. I don't usually work with ribbon and the gorgeous hand-dyed silk ribbon created a challenge for me but it was oh so right for this necklace!
A piece of 14 gauge copper wire was loosely wrapped with 16 gauge copper wire. I attached some hand-stamped metal word charms and some beachy charms along with some czech glass daggers. Two links from a chain were used to dangle more beachy charms and czech glass daggers. BUT.............there's more Beachy Goodness (because Cynthia was so generous) Lampwork beads with beachy charms and czech glass faceted rounds dangle from links of copper tubing and 14 gauge wire that are attached to single links of copper chain. Very Beachy!!! The pièce de résistance....... Two gorgeous seashell beads reflecting ocean waves Holes going through the middle of the ocean created a challenge...I didn't want my ocean twirling so I fed 20 gauge copper wire through the holes twice. Links from antiqued brass chain with small brass bead dangles complete these lovelies. Please go to Pretty Things the official Bead Soup Blog Party Site for links to each participants blog....... you won't want to miss a single one!!!! Until then............Happy Beading! |

I really adore the loose wire wrapping on the necklace, it just looks cool. That was such a great solution on the earrings, and such an attention grabber, to wire them that way. Awesome design!

Hey Kitty! I got back from my whirlwind weekend. You rocked a totally new direction from how I use lampwork beads ~ very inventive and creative! The bracelet looks especially fun and dangly, and the silk ribbon design makes me think of fish tails.

This has to be my favorite set of the party. I just love the ocean and it is so there in your pieces.
I love your way of suspending the elements in the necklace, all the lovely dangles on the bracelet and the creative way you made the earrings..a really well co-ordinated and balanced set, beautiful.
Beachy perfection!
Wonderful pieces. I love all the texture and dangles. The wire wrapped connector to hang the focal on the necklace is great. They all have a very beachy feeling.
Another designer has left me drooling! I love the wire work and dangles at the front of the necklace, and the soft ribbon at the back (and the colors are divine!). And the bracelet is just marvelous!
I love all you have cooked up with your soup. Nice job with the design.
i can feel the motion of the waves...just beautiful and soothing! i am sure they all have great movement.

You have made some really beautiful pieces of jewelry!!
Such beautiful pieces you have made!
What a fabulous set! I especially love the "beachy goodness) tag, too cute!
I love how you solved the dilemma of a sideways wave in the earrings - and the results are lovely! With all the pieces, I can almost hear the ocean. Now I need a beach vacation!
Really nice - like the wirework.
Love this color combo! You had a great soup to work with. The necklace is fresh and fun, but that bracelet is awesome! Love the earrings too.
Lovely set. Love all the little dangley treasures - that bracelet is fit for a goddess for sure. Beautiful work!
Yes! I adore all the beachy-ness of your pieces. They are all fantastic, but my favorite is that necklace. There are so many little details packed into it. I especially like the little loop on the left with all it's own little charms (it's like a necklace on a necklace)! Exceptionally well done!!
Hey Kitty, what fun and pretty pieces! I love what you did with the ribbon! It may have been hard for you, but you did a fantastic job! And that bracelet is just gorgeous!
Oh, how lovely her beach lampwork beads are! You've definitely done them justice with all your creations. Those earrings are fantastic :)
Beautiful group of pieces. That's a very neat wire piece for the necklace, love the beachy bracelet too.
So artistically designed and put together. Love it! You did a Soup-er job with your soup mix!
Great necklace, the charms, the blue and greens and the silk ribbon, all so perfectly beachy. Love your ingenious idea to keep the beads straight on the earrings.
all great pieces

Hey Kitty! Remember me? :-)) Loved what you made!! So good to see you creating again!
Beautiful jewellery! I really like the colours and the necklace is such a good example of how to use silk ribbon for the best effect. Great job!
I love it all, but I must say I am partial to the earrings. It looks like waves. You handled the panic perfectly.
Wow, you got the perfect end of summer beads. I love all your soups but especially the uniqueness of the earrings and the bracelet colors-all those sea treasures dangling in copper and blue- gorgeous!!
Wow, beautiful Beachy Goodness for sure here! The bracelet is beautiful!! Nice use of the ribbon, too!
Still making the rounds and tasting all the bead soups. :) I love the way you used wire and chain in your looks. Very cool.
Love how the fabric matches perfectly.
Great work!
I love that loose wrapping on the front. That something I should really learn to make. Lovely necklace!
Ambra
Good call on going with the copper so much! It works beautifully with those beads :)I LOVE the earrings!
Great collection of jewellery! There are things I like in each and every piece and I don't think I could pick a favourite. I love all the interesting details you've put into these pieces... the loosely wrapped wire, the charms hanging from a large jump ring, the shell earrings (maybe these are my favourite!), the combination of textures and colours.... I just love so much about this set. Great job!
Love that bracelet!
