Sandy's Treasures

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Recently I sat down with a friend of mine who wanted to share with me some of her mother's treasures.  It was a wonderful couple of hours going through pins, watches and bracelets and listening to her stories.

These are some of the items that I will have the pleasure of re-creating into other pieces of jewelry.

Thank you, Sandy.

Until then.......think creatively!

Don't you Just Love those Bangles?

Tuesday, March 5, 2013

No, not these Bangles........ although I do like this chick group...

These bangles.......

They are worn primarily by south Asian women in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh,

and have been excavated in several archeological sites throughout India.

They come in all kinds of.......

Shapes......

                                 Colors......

                                                                                                              Widths.....

Mediums......

You can wear them singly...... or in multiples.......

Grouped or mixed with bracelets or watches......

They add movement to your arm.  When worn in multiples they may even jangle!

No matter what medium you're interested in they are not only fun to wear but fun to create....
